Transferring to the University of Waterloo? Check one big item off your Transfer To-Do List: Finding a place to live.

If you have an offer of admission, Waterloo has a room waiting for you – a guaranteed place in one of our residences with other upper-year students like you.

There are many great reasons to live on-campus during your studies here.

All residences are located within a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre of campus. Your room or apartment comes furnished and all utilities are included: heat, electricity, water, Internet and even great services like the grocery shuttle.

You can apply on your own or with friends, either way there are other students around to make it feel like home. Plus there is academic support, social activities, and more.

Did you know that you can live in residence during local co-op terms? Residence contracts match your academic stream so you only pay for the terms you're on campus – no worries about finding a subletter!
