Finding a family medical physician
Currently, many family physicians in the region are not accepting new patients. Often family doctors have connections outside their practice care. You may request that your current family doctor provide a referral for you and your family to a local family doctor. You may search on-line for information on which physicians are accepting new patients on the following websites:

Finding a dentist
There are a large number of family dentists and specialists currently practicing within our community. Choosing a dentist and taking care of your oral health is a personal decision.
Ideas on finding a new dentist:
- Recommendations - Ask around. Friends, relatives, co-workers, or your neighbours may be able to help.
- Check the Yellow Pages for dentist listings.
- Professional listings - Many association websites have a dentist locator or dentist directory.
Things to consider when looking for a dentist:
- Is the location convenient?
- How long does it usually take to get an appointment?
- Do the office hours work well with your schedule?
- What happens if you have an emergency or need after-hours care?
- What payment options are available?
- If you have children, will the dentist see them too?
