Equity Office logo with the text "Getting to Know..." in a yellow speech bubble

The Equity Office at the University of Waterloo is pleased to present a video series that amplifies the many voices and experiences of our campus community. In this series, we connect with folx and ‘Get to Know’ them by asking a variety of questions. These range from questions about their life and work at Waterloo, and beyond.

The Equity Office will release new videos beginning with the special series focusing on core members of the Black Faculty Collective, so please check back and follow us on social media @uwaterloohrei (twitter, facebook and Instagram) where we will announce each video release.

Except for portions of the video where our interviewees have requested editing, we have done our utmost to keep the conversations true to their original recording. This is part of our desire to create an uncensored space for equity deserving campus community members to share their experiences. We would like to extend our deep thanks to each campus community member who is participating in this series; you have generously shared your experiences, your thoughts, successes, failures, and so much more. Thank you.
