This foundational workshop is designed to give you an understanding of equity and how our interactions with one another are shaped by systems of oppression, power, and privilege.

Meet Jean Becker, UWaterloo’s first Senior Director, Indigenous initiatives, in conversation with Lori Campbell, director of the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre. Over many years in the Waterloo region, Jean has built reciprocal and respectful relationships between post-secondary institutions and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.
Hosted by WUSA (Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association), Let's Get Consensual is a night of playful and interactive trivia to promote healthy and fun conversations about consent.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
