Ujima Black History Month 2022 at the University of Waterloo is a collaborative initiative by faculty and staff from the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-racism (EDI-R), the departments of English and History, and the Dean of Arts Office. Our goal is to celebrate Black history in the campus community and beyond, and to celebrate these histories in February and beyond — any time is the right time for celebration and actions.

The Equity Office and the FAUW Equity Committee have partnered in the development of a live and interactive version of the Equitable Recruitment and Selection training. It will encompass reviewing standard terms, designing equity-centered recruitment and selection practices, and discussing accountability frameworks for equitable recruitment, selection, and retention.
