Social media can be a very useful tool. It can also be a source of increased stress and anxiety, especially during a pandemic. Hosted by the Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC), this workshop is geared towards survivors of sexual violence, and will discuss tips and considerations to have in mind when navigating social media. We’ll explore how we can use social media in a way that supports our healing and how to set limits that work for us.
Online, 1.5 hour workshop in a small group setting

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
