Indigenous Priorities Action Committee (IPAC)
FAUW’s Indigenous Priorities Action Committee (IPAC)* advocates for changes at the University of Waterloo to improve the experiences of Indigenous faculty, staff, and students. It is open to faculty members who are Indigenous, settlers, arrivants, visitors, or who have other relationships to this land. Their agenda is driven by relationships to members of the Indigenous community at Waterloo and the priorities they express.

Indigenous Books and Resources
For National Indigenous History Month 2021, the Waterloo Library compiled a list of Indigenous books and resources. Appreciate the rich culture and heritage of Indigenous Peoples, while learning more about the atrocities that Indigenous communities have faced and continue to face today.
Indigenous Peoples in Canada Reading List
In July 2020, the Waterloo Library created an Indigenous Peoples in Canada reading list to contextualize recent events and help situate them within the landscape of Canada’s colonial history. The list includes scholarly research; guides to working with Indigenous peoples; biographies, memoirs and fictional accounts of lived experiences during and after the end of the residential school system; as well as links to web versions of the Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and Reclaiming power and place the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Indigenization and Faculties
School of Pharmacy
For several years, the School of Pharmacy has been building connections with Indigenous healthcare providers and educators and with others who are eager to do the work of decolonizing Waterloo. They have developed a strategy for Indigenization at Waterloo Pharmacy and have shared their journey and learnings thus far.
