DESCRIPTION:WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT AT A POW WOW? WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED! 
 \n\nThis Presentation will focus on the origin of what is known as\n“Pow
 -wow\,\"  and how it came to be in North America and in the Great\nLakes 
 area. Gordon will also talk about what you can expect when\nattending a Po
 w Wow\, including drumming\, singing\, dancing\, and\nassociated protocols
 . Whether this is your first Pow Wow or you've\nbeen on the Pow Wow trail 
 for years\, there is something for everyone\nto learn. \n\nABOUT THE SPEA
 KER\n\nGordon Nicotine-Sands is a fourth generation singer\, originally fr
 om\nBkejwanong territory\, and the Poundmaker Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
 \n The “Eagle Flight” singers (lead by Gordon) are a First Nations\ns
 inging group based out of London\, On. and have been active for over\ntwo 
 decades.  The group has travelled extensively in the Great Lakes\narea(in
 ternationally on occasion) participating in festival-like\ncelebrations kn
 own as “Pow-wow”.  “Eagle Flight” has also\nhonoured invitations 
 from professional and educational institutions in\nthe form of educational
  song and dance performances.  In addition to\ncreating and sharing tradi
 tional music\, Gordon also serves as an MC to\nmany winter celebrations in
  the Great Lakes known as “Round dance”\nwhich are trending cultural e
 vents that originated out west.  Gordon\nis a graduate of Fanshawe’s Fi
