Indigenous Studies Minor (St. Paul’s University College)
St. Paul’s University College (STP) offers an Indigenous Studies minor program, open to students enrolled in any degree program. It draws on courses delivered by STP, as well as cross-listed courses from relevant departments in the Faculty of Arts.
The Indigenous Studies Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of four academic course units, including four required INDG courses and four courses drawn from a list of approved electives offered by other departments.
An example of an INDG course:
INDG 272: Issues in Contemporary Indigenous Communities in Canada
An examination of First Nations and Métis cultures and cultural development from the perspective of local indigenous communities. The course will feature lectures, discussions, and occasional guest speakers representative of the wider Indigenous community.
