The CIO leads the Information Systems & Technology (IST) department.
Working closely with senior leadership, department heads, the management of faculty and departmental IT groups, and the direct IST leadership, the CIO:
- ensures core IT services, systems, and infrastructure are in alignment with current requirements, and evolve to meet future requirements, in a supportable and sustainable manner
- champions the effective leveraging of existing campus IT services, IST capabilities, and departmental/faculty IT capabilities
- maintains an awareness of campus IT developments, and looks for opportunities to coordinate such efforts for campus wide benefit
The CIO serves as a senior strategist, advisor and leader who plays a key leadership role in promoting innovation and advancing the next generation of IT, in support of the University's mission.
