In this seminar, Kateri and John will explain the purpose of using Digital Imaging (DI) and the benefits for campus. They will also discuss the different document files, paper size, scanners and tracking system used by Central Stores. Joel will provide information on the office paper recycling processes and record storage offerings that encouraged Central Stores to pursue DI initiatives.
Kateri Galloway-Downie, Digital Imaging Specialist, has spent the last 4 years in her current position. In addition to Central Stores, she is also working with Finance on their scanning projects. One of her expertise is scanning different size papers.
John Ogg, Digital Imaging and Gas Cylinder Management Coordinator. John has been with Central Stores for 9 years, the last 4 as coordinator for Digital Imaging and Gas Cylinder programs which he helped to create. In his role, he continues to implement the day to day operations, developing processes and supporting Kateri in the daily scanning. For the Gas Cylinder program, he is responsible for ordering, delivery, communication, invoicing and training of support staff.
Joel Norris has been working at the University since 1984, in Central Stores. Currently as Manager, Joel oversees all departmental operations.
