Friday, December 1, 2017 — 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM EST

Waterloop, hailing from our own university, is the only all-Canadian team competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition. They've built Canada's only functional Hyperloop prototype, a revolutionary transportation technology that sends passenger pods at supersonic speeds through a vacuum tube network spanning the continent. Come see Waterloop directors Jason and Clive talk about the Hyperloop technology, the work the team has done, and the potential for this idea to transform Waterloo, and eventually Canada.

Bios:

  • Clive Chan, 2nd year student in SoftEng, Technical Director for Waterloop
  • Jason Pan, 2nd year student in ENBUS (transferring to EnvEng), Administrative Director
