The 3D Print Centre, operated by the Faculty of Engineering in the Sedra Student Design Centre (SDC), in partnership with Retail Services, is completing its second year of operations. The goal of the 3D Print Centre is to provide access for all Waterloo students, staff and faculty to professional quality additive manufacturing equipment at affordable prices. This facility has become a showpiece of the SDC and it continues to attract the attention of students, visitors, and the local media as a source of information about 3D printing. The tour will include a brief presentation in E5-2004 that will focus on 3D print technology and why FDM is a good fit for student use, as well as success stories and future plans. We will then move to the 3D Print Centre for a close-up look at the equipment and some of the parts that we have printed recently.
This seminar will not be webcasted/recorded.
