Maintenance on Connect Exchange servers Tuesday evening

On Tuesday, August 23rd, beginning at 10:00pm and ending by 2:00am EDT, Information Systems & Technology (IST) will be performing routine maintenance on the Connect Exchange servers. While email and calendar services will continue to be available during this time, some servers will be restarted and it may be necessary to re-authenticate (login) when accessing Connect email/calendar accounts. Power shutdown to many buildings this Saturday 6am-midnight

A planned electrical power shutdown for many buildings inside the campus ring road will happen this Saturday 6am to midnight. Most IT services, including mailservices, Exchange (Connect), BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), SharePoint, JobMine, Quest, UW-ACE, Exchange Calendar, and most websites will be available.

Some campus websites may experience brief outage this Saturday morning

An upgrade to the Information Systems & Technology-maintained server "recondo.uwaterloo.ca" on Saturday, August 13th between 8:00am and 8:10am will affect all production database services hosted on that server. Websites on "strobe.uwaterloo.ca" and "info.uwaterloo.ca" may experience brief database connectivity errors during this time.

JobMine unavailable this week due to maintenance

JobMine, the online system that Co-operative Education & Career Services (CECS) uses to help expedite the Waterloo recruitment process, is currently shut down until August 14 for a week of planned maintenance. This maintenance will return JobMine to a supported version of PeopleSoft Tools (the operating system on which JobMine runs). During the shutdown, user access is temporarily unavailable. To minimize inconvenience to users, the shutdown was planned to coincide with the point in the term when on-campus employer interviews have concluded and most students are writing exams
