Comment: Waterloo’s external internet service has degraded to 30% of capacity, affecting traffic between Waterloo and offsite. Investigation with ORION is in progress.

Emergency failover to secondary and/or emergency shaping of residence networks may be implemented to restore adequate service.

BlackBerry issues resolved

There was a performance degradation on the BES server that eventually resulted in delayed delivery and, in some cases, rejected delivery (primarily to off-campus email addresses). Information Systems & Technology and Research in Motion technical support corrected the problem.

We are continuing to monitor the performance but the issues appear to have been resolved. Normal service resumed around 12:15pm.
