IT Open House: Progress update on IT Directions

WatITis Conference - Dec 3

WatITis is a one day conference for those involved in IT planning, support and decision making at the University of Waterloo.

It is an opportunity to see what others are doing on campus in information technology, to exchange ideas, and make new contacts.

For 2013, the WatITis conference is moving to the Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre (QNC).

Resolved: LEARN email issues persist

Waterloo LEARN email issues are persisting. Sending email is working, however, emails generated by the Waterloo LEARN system may be flagged as SPAM by the receiving email server/client.

Information Systems & Technology (IST) is working with Desire2Learn (D2L) to resolve this issue.

Update 8:45am: Issue with Exchange email and other services

What is happening? Scheduled maintenance of the Exchange (Connect email and calendar services) server to restore the service to the configuration prior to the October 30 outage.

When is this happening? November 12 between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m.

How does this impact me? Users connected to Exchange during the maintenance window may be prompted to re-connect by entering their username and password.
