Exchange/ Connect outage July 23/24 for Arts accounts

Following up on a recommendation from the Exchange Pilot Project, disk storage has been acquired to support those using the Exchange email environment (”Connect”). This storage was brought online earlier this month and Information Systems & Technology (IST) is now moving email accounts to the new storage area.

Arts email accounts will be moved to the new storage starting at 11pm on Thursday evening (July 23rd). Email services for Arts clients will be unavailable for approximately 2 hours while the mailboxes are being moved to the new location. No email will be lost. Email arriving during the move will be held “upstream” and delivered when the mailboxes are brought back online.

If you leave your workstation with an Outlook session open overnight (i.e. logged in but locked), you will need to restart/re-launch your Outlook email client software in the morning.
