Resolved: Server issue impacting live WCMS sites

Update: Server issues have been resolved. Sites should load more quickly and users should be able to login and make changes to their sites.

What you need to do now:

  1. If you edited or made changes to a piece of content earlier this week (but not today), that piece of content should be displaying as desired.
  2. If you edited or made changes to a piece of content today (but not earlier this week), that piece of content should be displaying as desired.
  3. If you edited or made changes to a piece of content earlier this week AND today, that piece of content should be reviewed, and re-saved, even if the correct content is displaying.

Issues or concerns? Please report any issues or concerns as soon as possible to rt-ist-wcms@rt.uwaterloo.ca.

Update: Content changes/edits made to live WCMS websites over the last 3 days are not currently displaying. Every effort will be made to recover content changes made this week. However, edits made today may not be recoverable.

What should I do? Please log out of and do not attempt to access your WCMS site (even if you have not experienced any issues as a result of the server problem identified this morning).

What is happening? We are experiencing server issues that are impacting live WCMS websites (i.e. https://uwaterloo.ca/site-name). IST is investigating and working to resolve the issue.

How does this impact me? Websites may be slow to load or you may have difficulty logging in to your site. If this is the case, please do not attempt to access the site. Report the issue, including your site URL, using Request Tracker.
