What is happening? Four Nexus policies affecting those with roaming profiles using Academic Support PCs are changing
Why is this happening? Academic Support clients no longer have roaming profiles. However, people from the faculties with roaming profiles (i.e. Co-op students or users visiting an Academic Support department) may login to an Academic Support PC .These policies are intended on making that experience better.
When is this happening? This will be applied to IST (only) on Wednesday February 8, and to the rest of Academic Support Thursday February 9. Both changes will be made around noon.
What is the impact? All clients may notice that their local profiles will no longer be restricted in size, but are strongly encouraged to keep storing important documents and settings on network shares, so they are properly backed up. Clients from the faculties with roaming profiles, using Academic Support PCs, will no longer have their roaming profiles loaded or saved while on these PCs. Only local profiles will be supported and allowed.
