Akindi is a web-based assessment system that automates the creation and grading of multiple-choice exams. As an instructor, you can grade these exams using any sheet of paper and any scanner, putting you in control of the process.
Akindi is the new central tool for campus and will replace the existing Scantron exam processing service. Where you once used Scantron for multiple choice assessments, you can now use Akindi! Visit the website for more information on the implementation process.
Note: Akindi will replace Scantron as the centrally supported multiple-choice exam processing service at the start of the winter 2020 term.
Optical Marks Recognition (OMR) scanning reads answer sheets and saves the accumulated data to file. The most common answer sheets are those used for student multiple choice exams.
ExamOMR is used to score a multiple-choice examination. Class lists and test results from an OMR reader can be read and analyzed using an intuitive point-and-click interface. Test may be scored with a variety of options including: multiple test masters and multiple responses and weights per question. Finally, results can be analyzed and reported.
Note: Scantron will be replaced by Akindi at the start of the winter 2020 term.
To score your processed exam/survey, the ExamProc program is required.
Exam/survey answer sheets can be purchased from Central Stores.
Custom answer sheets can be requested from the IST Service Desk.
