Exam/survey processing

Optical Marks Recognition (OMR) scanning reads answer sheets and saves the accumulated data to file. The most common answer sheets are those used for student multiple choice exams. Other types of answer sheets are used for surveys, or for evaluations of courses and instructors.

How to request this service:

​Answer sheets can be dropped off at the IST Service Desk in East Campus 2.

Average length of time to complete request:

One working day for exam scanning (may vary during peak periods), and three days for survey scanning (depends on demand for the scanner).

Service hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 am-4:30 pm
Saturday - Sunday: Closed

ExamProc software

To score your processed exam/survey, the ExamProc program is required. A workstation is available in the EC2  IST Service Desk.

Exam/survey answer sheets can be purchased from Central Stores.

Custom answer sheets can be requested from the IST Service Desk.
