Text matching tool for instructors
About this service
Turnitin is a text matching tool available to the faculty at the University of Waterloo. Students submit their papers electronically via the LEARN system. Turnitin then compares the content of those submitted papers to all other papers and documents submitted to the Turnitin database. Whenever similarities between a student's paper and an existing document are found, Turnitin will highlight those similarities via annotated document showing both the student's paper and the original source.
