 ate our method to experimentally encode\nqudits in the energy spectrum of 
 broadband entangled photons generated\nby parametric down-conversion and d
 etected in coincidence by sum\nfrequency generation. Employing techniques 
 from ultrafast optics to\nshape fs-laser pulses\, the two-photon spectrum 
 is discretized into\nfrequency bins.
