 ORENZO M. PROCOPIO\, UNIVERSITY OF VIENNA\n\nInvestigating the role of 
 causal order in quantum mechanics has\nrecently revealed that the temporal
  distribution of events may not be\na-priori well-defined in quantum theor
 y. Although this has triggered a\ngrowing interest on the theoretical side
 \, the existence of processes\nwithout a causal order is an experimental q
 uestion. In this talk\, I\nwill present an optical implementation of an in
 definite causal-order\nstructure called quantum switch for two purposes\; 
 to execute an\nalgorithm and to verify a causally non-separable process.
