SUMMARY:Space-time density matrix for continuous variables
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TIAN ZHANG\, UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD\n\nIn ordinary\, non-relativi
stic quantum theory\, especially in quantum\ninformation\, space and time
are treated differently. For example\, time\nis a parameter rather than an
operator\; states are defined across the\nwhole space but only at one tim
e\, and then evolve under the prescribed\ndynamics. These go against our i
ntuition from relativity. Thus\,\nspace-time density matrices have been in
troduced and here we discuss\none of these formulations called pseudo-dens
ity matrix (PDM) which\ntreats space and time indiscriminately.
