DESCRIPTION:SEMINAR - CUNLU ZHOU\, UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME\n\nQuantum (von
  Neumann) entropy optimization problems constitute an\nimportant class of 
 quantum relative entropy optimization and have\napplications in various ar
 eas including quantum state tomography\,\nstatistical physics and machine 
 learning. The optimization involves a\nnonlinear convex objective function
  $Tr(XlnX)$ and equality\nconstraints on positive definite matrix $X$. In 
 this talk I will\npresent a long-step interior-point algorithm for the qua
 ntum entropy\noptimization (joint work with my co-advisor).
