SUMMARY:Quantifying the magic resources for quantum computation
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:XIN WANG\, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND\n\nIn this work\, we develop
resource-theoretic approaches to study the\nnon-stabilizer resources in fa
ult-tolerant quantum computation. First\,\nwe introduce a family of magic
measures to quantify the amount of\nmagic in a quantum state\, several of
which can be efficiently computed\nvia convex optimization. Second\, we sh
ow that two classes of states\nwith maximal mana\, a previously establishe
d magic measure\, cannot be\ninterconverted asymptotically at a rate equal
  to one.
