SUMMARY:Accelerating Quantum Dynamics With Long-Range Interactions
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:IQC SPECIAL SEMINAR - JEREMY YOUNG - JILA\, UNIVERSITY OF COLOR
ADO\n\nOne of the major goals in the field of quantum science is to utiliz
e\nthe properties of quantum mechanics for applications in quantum\ncomput
ation\, quantum simulation\, and quantum sensing. In order to\naddress thi
 s goal\, a variety of different many-body quantum platforms\nhave been dev
eloped. Many of these quantum platforms exhibit\nlong-range interactions\,
  particularly power-law interactions\,\nincluding Rydberg atoms\, polar mo
 lecules\, and trapped ions\, among\nothers. This gives rise to a natural q
uestion: how does the long-range\nnature of these interactions affect the
 resulting quantum evolution? \n
