DESCRIPTION:OPTIMAL COUPLING FOR LOCAL ENTANGLEMENT EXTRACTION FROM A QUANT
 UM\nFIELD\n\nQuantum-Nano Centre\, 200 University Ave West\, Room QNC 1201
Waterloo\,\nON CA N2L 3G1\n\nThe entanglement structure of quantum fields
is of central importance\nin various aspects of the connection between sp
acetime geometry and\nquantum field theory.  However\, it is challenging
to quantify\nentanglement between complementary regions of a quantum field
theory\ndue to the formally infinite amount of entanglement present at sh
ort\ndistances. We present an operationally motivated way of analyzing\nen
tanglement in a QFT by considering the entanglement which can be\ntransfer
red to a set of local probes coupled to the field. In\nparticular\, using
a lattice approximation to the field theory\, we show\nhow to optimize the
coupling of the local probes with the field in a\ngiven region to most ac
curately capture the original entanglement\npresent between that region an
d its complement. This coupling\nprescription establishes a bound on the e
ntanglement between\ncomplementary regions that can be extracted to probes
with finitely\nmany degrees of freedom.\n\nBased on: _J. High Energ. Phys
