SUMMARY:Characterizing quantum bilocal network scenario with generalized NP
 A\nhierarchies
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:IQC CS/MATH SEMINAR\, XIANGLING XU INRIA SACLARY\n\nQNC buildin
 g\, 200 University Ave. Room 1201\, Waterloo \n\n \n\nCharacterizing qua
ntum correlations is a fundamental task in the study\nof quantum informati
on theory. In the standard Bell scenario\, where\nthe correlations are est
 ablished by a single source\, the seminal work\n[Navascúes et al.\, 2008]
  presents a convergent hierarchy that\nprovides an outer approximation\, w
hich can be formulated as a problem\nsolvable by computers.\n\nIn the more
general networks scenarios\, however\, the correlations are\ndue to multi
ple independent quantum sources. This necessitates a\ngeneralization of th
e NPA hierarchy. Based on [Renou\, Xu\, Ligthard\,\n2022]\, this talk focu
ses on the simplest quantum network\, the bilocal\nscenario\, where two in
dependent quantum sources exist: one shared\nbetween Alice and Bob\, and t
he other between Bob and Charlie. It will\ndiscuss two convergent generali
zations of the NPA hierarchy in this\ncontext\, demonstrating that the bil
ocal scenario is completely\nunderstood from the algebraic/Heisenberg pers
pective.\n\nDespite this progress\, the characterization of quantum networ
ks beyond\nthe bilocal scenario remains an open question. This talk will\n
 introduce a possible approach\, the inflation-NPA hierarchy\, as a\npotent
ial solution. The aim is to motivate the audience to explore\nthis importa
 nt and challenging problem further.
