 lk\, I introduce two quantum receivers that discriminate\nnonorthogonal op
 tical coherent states unconditionally surpassing the\nstandard quantum lim
 it\, with mean photon numbers ranging from single\nphoton level to many ph
 otons\, thus bridging the gap between quantum\ninformation technology and 
 state-of-the art coherent communications.
