SUMMARY:Eyal Buks: Back-reaction Effects in Optomechanical Cavities
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:EYAL BUKS\, TECHNION – ISRAEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY\n\nThe
field of cavity optomechanics deals with a family of systems\,\neach is c
omposed of two coupled elements. The first one is a\nmechanical resonator
\, commonly having low damping rate\, and the second\none is an ancilla sy
stem\, which is typically externally driven. The\ntalk will be devoted to
 three configurations: a mechanical\nopto-microwave cavity [1] \, an on-fib
er optomechanical cavity [2] \,\nand a vibrating superconducting quantum i
 nterference device (SQUID)\n[3].
