SUMMARY:Prasanna Venkatesh: Back-action driven transport of Bloch oscillati
ng\natoms in ring cavities and Transient Quantum Fluctuation Theorems
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:PRASANNA VENKATESH\, ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR THEORETICAL PHYSIC
S\n\nIn the first part of the talk I will focus on resonant tunneling and\
ndirected transport of ultracold atoms that are strongly coupled to an\nop
tical lattice inside a ring-cavity and to which an uniform bias\nforce is
applied. The bias force induces Bloch oscillations causing\namplitude and
phase modulation of the lattice which resonantly\nmodifies the site-to-sit
e tunneling. We show how different aspects of\nthe transport such as the d
irection and magnitude can be simply\ncontrolled by changing the cavity de
 tuning.
