SUMMARY:Na Young Kim: Carbon Nanotube Transport and Exciton-Polariton\nCond
 ensation
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:NA YOUNG KIM\, STANFORD UNIVERSITY\n\nWe in modern society are
beneficiaries of advanced electronics\,\nphotonics and the combination of
two. As an effort to develop new\nplatforms of electronics\, photonics and
optoelectronics harnessing\nquantum nature\, I have studied transport pro
perties of carbon\nnanotubes\, where long-range interaction plays a signif
 icant role. In\nphotonics domain\, I have been studying exciton-polaritons
  in a\nquantum-well-microcavity structure\, where dynamical macroscopic\nc
ondensation emerge via stimulated scattering process arising from\nexchang
 e interactions.
