Nonlocality is a useful quantum resource in applications such as quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation. We study nonlocality in a multi-qubit model—quantum kicked top (QKT). This system is of particular interest because it displays regular behavior, bifurcations and chaotic behavior in the classical limit, and is one of the few chaotic systems that has been experimentally realized.

Transformative Quantum Technologies

There are many paths one can take as a researcher interested in bringing new capabilities to industry. One increasingly common route is to join a start-up. There are many genres of start-ups, from the early-stage university spin-offs to VC-backed firms with multiple trenches of funding under their belt. How do you value these different set of experiences and what are the opportunities?
