  rich compositional and stacking\nvarieties yield virtually endless possib
 ilities to tailor device\nproperties. For example\, monolayer GaS exhibits
  a bandgap in the\nultraviolet and could yield solar-blind photodiodes or 
 even replace\nGaN as emitter in LEDs covering the whole visible spectrum.
