Industrial development

We are your industry development team

You need industry to move your research forward. You want your ideas and people to have an impact on society. You may even dream of commercializing your technology into the marketplace to improve quality of life.

Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) actively engages corporations every year who are interested in funding research, sharing facilities and hiring students. WIN has strong experience in business development and key account management.

Additionally, WIN offers a corporate partners program for companies who are committed to supporting pre-competitive research and applied engineering in nanotechnology.

Together, faculty and industry can define the research challenges and develop the engineered solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems in energy, environment, healthcare, manufacturing and Information & Communications Technology (ICT). And in doing so, faculty and industry will earn support from funding agencies.

Call or email WIN for a list of companies interested in your specific areas of research or to secure industry support for larger interdisciplinary proposals.

For Canada to be more productive and competitive, Canadian researchers must be at the forefront of important developments in Science and Technology (S&T) that will generate health, social, environmental and economic benefits for Canadians.
