Dr Yuan T. Lee hosts distinguished lecture

Dr Yuan T. Lee received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1986 for contributions to the dynamics of chemical elementary processes.

Lee gave a lecture on the ionization processes of molecular clusters, detailing recent investigations of elementary processes involved in Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization (MALDI).

Dr Maw-Kuen Wu hosts distinguished lecture

Dr Maw-Kuen Wu, from the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, gave a lecture discussing the National Nanotechnology Program in Taiwan.

The Taiwanese government has pledged its long-term support to promote research and development capabilities in various sectors, as a response to the country’s socioeconomic needs. Currently, there are seven National Science and Technology Research Programs including the Program for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
