WE Innovate

Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) participated in the Waterloo Engineering (WE) Innovate showcase event held in in the new Engineering 5 building. Over 100 attendees from industry and academic networked with 45 posters and 10 tables talked about technology, engineering and commercialization.

Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology inspires at the FIRST Lego League team event

Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) members captured the imagination of 9 and 10 year olds at the FIRST Lego® League team “Body Forward Challenge” with nanorobots, flying microbots, biomedical Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) devices and nanomeds.

We are getting too old to find the solution for the blood brain barrier problem…it will be up to you!

Dr R. Chidambaram hosts distinguished lecture

Professor C.N.R. Rao delivers distinguished lecture

Professor C.N.R. Rao lectures to the audiences.

Professor C.N.R. Rao, delivered a sweeping overview of nanotechnology developments in the area of graphene, to an audience of over 150 people as Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology's (WIN’s) 5th Distinguished Lecturer.

Rao is a National Research Professor, Honorary President and Linus Pauling Research Professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. He is also an Honorary Professor at the Indian Institute of Science and a member the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology’s International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB).
