4th Year Nanoengineering Design Symposium

March 25, 2011 - Waterloo’s 4th year NanoEngineering Design Projects were on display and under intense evaluation this week.

The culmination of 8 months of work that integrate years of study and co-op experience, the Engineering Design Symposium is a tremendous opportunity to see where nanotechnology meets the real world.

21 teams of nanoengineering students showed off projects in nanofluidics, nanobiotechnology, nanophotonics, nanoelectronics and nanomaterials.

Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) at the Center for Integrated NanoTechnologies (CINT) at Los Alamos National Labs

March 7-8, 2011:  Arthur Carty (Executive Director) and Alain Francq (Managing Director) visit CINT to review the scientific capabilities and management infrastructure of the Department of Energy (DOE) facility.

Carty and Francq were invited and hosted by CINT Chief Scientist Dr. Tom Picraux and David Morris (Director) who presented on the DOE science thrusts and discussed the centers operating principles.
