DESCRIPTION:Esports has seen remarkable growth\, but it still faces signifi
 cant\nchallenges in diversity\, equity\, and inclusion\, including demogra
 phic\nimbalances\, sexism\, and racism. In this presentation\, we will exp
 lore\nhow meaningful social interactions and the fulfillment of\npsycholog
 ical needs at esports events can promote inclusivity. We will\ndraw on gen
 erative interaction theory and self-determination theory to\ndiscuss the p
 otential of in-person gatherings to mitigate toxic\nbehaviors\, foster com
