    University of Waterloo leaders were pleased to host the visit of the High Commission of Canada in India to better understand India-focused recruitment, partnership, and innovation priorities for Waterloo.

  2. June 12, 2017Visit of Chinese university presidents, vice-presidents, and senior officials

    University of Waterloo leaders were delighted to host a visit of presidents and vice-presidents from 22 universities, two senior officials from the Ministry of Education, and the National Academy of Education Administration (NAEA) as part of an initiative from the NAEA in Beijing for 1,000 university presidents and vice-presidents in north-western China to gain insight and international perspective on overseas university management and operations.

    University of Waterloo leaders were pleased to host a visit from the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong to discuss development opportunities for Waterloo in Hong Kong and Macau.

    Waterloo’s current connections with Hong Kong include research partnership agreements at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong, student mobility agreements for exchange opportunities with five universities, and co-op employers that provided opportunities to 74 students in 2015/16.
