An Academic Business Visitor is a visitor invited by a host to simply use the facilities available at the University of Waterloo to conduct their own research and plan to stay for no more than 6 months.
An Academic Examiner/Evaluator is a professor or academic expert who has been invited by a host to evaluate or supervise academic projects, research proposals or university theses.
A Conference Attendee is an individual who has registered to attend a conference, workshop or seminar.
A Keynote/Conference Speaker is an individual invited by a conference organizer to speak/lecture/present at a conference, provided the event is for no more than 5 days.
