We welcome visiting delegations

High-profile representatives, faculty, scholars, and postdoctoral fellows visit the University of Waterloo each year to exchange ideas, explore research and academic opportunities, and connect institutions of global significance. We welcome visiting delegations from established and prospective partner institutions worldwide.

Visits with University-wide scope

Waterloo International is the central office providing co-ordination for visiting delegations at a University level. To help you experience a productive visit at Waterloo, we ask that you please complete our delegation request form providing as much detail as possible. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Parking for visitors:

There are only two designated visitor parking spots reserved for Waterloo International guests in Q lot outside the EC5 front door (see map below). You must pre-register with us to use one these spots. Please email us with the following information prior to your arrival:

  • Name of the Waterloo International staff member you are meeting with
  • Date, time, and duration you will need parking
  • Make, model, and colour of your car

Please note, you must receive an email from us confirming the reservation of your parking spot before your arrival.

Other parking

East Campus 5 (EC5) is located in Q lot which is reserved for Q lot parking pass holders. Parking services patrols this lot regularly and will ticket or tow anyone without a valid Q lot parking permit. Visitors parked in Q lot must pay for parking. The pay and display daily parking meter charges $5/day payable by credit card, Watcard, or coins. You display the ticket on your dashboard and you can park anywhere in Q lot which is the entire parking lot surrounding EC5.
