We welcome virtual delegations

As we transition into new forms of global engagement in a post-pandemic world, internationalization continues to be a key priority for the University of Waterloo. Delegations allow us the unique opportunity to exchange ideas, to explore research and academic opportunities, and to connect with institutions of global significance.

As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive internationalization and sustainability, we endeavor to engage in international activities that reduce our carbon footprint, support the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and inspire action toward socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable futures.

We are pleased to welcome international delegations in the following formats:

  • Virtual Delegations
  • In-person Delegations
  • Hybrid Delegations (Virtual and/or in-person and/or digital elements)

Visits with University-wide scope

Working with key stakeholders across campus, Waterloo International routinely acts as the central coordinating office for visiting delegations at a University level.

High-profile representatives (such as ambassadors and consuls general), senior administrators in higher education, industry professionals, business and other societal leaders, as well as faculty and scholars, visit the University of Waterloo each year to develop talent, advance research collaborations, and to build community at local, national and global levels.

To help you experience a productive connection at Waterloo, we ask that you please complete our Delegation Request form, providing as much detail as possible. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Targeted virtual visits

If you wish to visit a single faculty, academic department, research unit, or professional school, please contact the appropriate unit directly.
