Topic: The Centre update and tour
The Centre opened its doors to students at the tail end of the fall 2018 term, and was fully operational for the start of the winter 2019 term. At this seminar, you’ll receive an update on how the first term in The Centre went and what plans are in place for 2019, including a student chatbot. A tour of the new space will follow the presentation.
Bio: Nancy Heide is currently the Director of The Centre at the University of Waterloo and has a passion to improve the student experience. Nancy has a wealth of experience including student services, student entrepreneurship (Velocity), public affairs, marketing and undergraduate recruitment, advancement and alumni affairs. Nancy has in-depth knowledge of providing superior service to students, creating and building a department, and managing a diverse high-impact team. Nancy is a grad of Waterloo with a BA in English Literature & Languages and loves to garden. She spends hours in arenas cheering on her boys as they play rep hockey and lacrosse.
The first part of this seminar will take place in NH 3318 proceeded by a walking tour of The Centre.
