  • Know your material. Know your audience. Be enthusiastic about your talk
  • Use the current PowerPoint template. Keep your slides simple with the font large enough for the audience to read, 30 and up is recommended  
  • Speak clearly and loudly making eye contact with your audience. For online viewers, try to stay within their viewing frame
  • Share stories (successes and failures) to engage your audience
  • Use the mouse or laser pointer to emphasis a point, not your hands
  • Take your time; breathe, smile and have fun
  • Dress professionally and make sure that anything supposed to be done up, is
  • If you take questions, acknowledge the asker and repeat the question for the audience. If you don’t know the answer that’s ok, don’t make one up!
  • End on time
