Centre for Extended Learning in collaboration with VoiceThread
VoiceThread is an online presentation tool that allows you and your students to create and discuss multimedia presentations asynchronously in a variety of ways. VoiceThread has many potential applications, and is an especially good choice for student presentation assignments (including group presentations) in which students create a multi-media presentation which can be commented on and discussed by the class as a whole. VoiceThread is designed to work asynchronously, allowing for multimedia collaboration and discussion without relying on live sessions. For more information, visit the VoiceThread website.
VoiceThread at Waterloo is currently sponsored by the Centre for Extended Learning, and has been licensed for use during the fall term only. Total student enrolment is limited. However, there are still seats remaining for fall.
Remote instructors interested in piloting VoiceThread for their course are encouraged to reach out to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about availability. Interested instructors are also encouraged to participate in upcoming VoiceThread training, which will take place on August 19 and 12:00 noon ET.
