KGSA Fall 2021 Newsletter

A Message from your KGSA

The Kinesiology Graduate Student Association (KGSA) would like to welcome back all Faculty, Staff and Students to the 2021/22 academic year. For those who are just starting their graduate career at the University of Waterloo, welcome! This past term, in spite of COVID-19, we worked very hard to keep everyone involved through virtual game nights, cooking nights, and socials. This Fall, we look forward to having everyone back on campus for some more in-person events. Look out for our emails!

Orientation

We hosted a very successful Meet and Greet Session for our new Graduate Students on Wednesday September 9th. Thank you to all the new students who introduced themselves. We also had a great time connecting with new and current students at our BBQ, trivia night and Descendants Brewery events!

Allyship

Coming out of Canada’s first National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, the KGSA wanted to highlight how we can support our community by continuing to educate ourselves on and practicing allyship. While the KGSA is supporting/planning initiatives focused on diversity, equity and inclusion within the Department, we also wanted to share a few resources on allyship.
