Kinesiology Lab Days is an annual high school outreach event featuring a one-day program of mini-laboratory sessions on assessing, treating, and preventing movement-related illness and injury for classes that have pre-booked with the Department.
With a focus on aging research, SoAR is a one-day meeting for engaging with graduate student research beyond disciplinary and professional boundaries, and across areas of expertise. The University of Waterloo Brain Bee, hosted by the Department of Kinesiology, is a competition for students in grades 9 through 12 in the Region of Waterloo. Competitors answer questions about the brain and neuroscience, with the winner proceeding to the national brain bee competition. Registration is required.

This event allows upper-year Kinesiology students to share their research projects in brief 10-minute presentations, and all faculty members, staff, and students are encouraged to attend and pose questions!
