Laura Middleton in the Department of Kinesiology is one of two researchers in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences to receive an Early Researcher Award. Sharon Kirkpatrick in the School of Public Health and Health Systems is also a recipient.
The Government of Ontario program provides funding to new faculty to build a research team. Middleton will receive $140,000 over five years, as well as another $50,000 from the University. Her research will create exercise opportunities for people with (or at risk for) dementia.
